Responsibilities

Develop and own the UX research strategy for Cinema 4D software throughout the full product lifecycle. Select appropriate research methods according to design questions, including usability tests, contextual inquiries, diary studies, and surveys. Act as the internal expert on how professional artists engage with complex 3D tools and translate insights into actionable recommendations for design and product management teams. Present research findings in engaging formats to influence product decisions, including major feature go/no-go calls. Identify and address gaps in research processes and mentor other researchers to elevate team capabilities.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of UX research experience on complex or technical software products. Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods with sound judgment on method selection. Proven ability to convert ambiguous research findings into leadership-level product decisions. Familiarity with 3D design, motion graphics, or visual effects workflows either as a researcher, practitioner, or dedicated observer. Experience collaborating across design, engineering, and product teams. Strong communication skills in English; German language skills considered a plus. Preferred experience includes hands-on research with Cinema 4D, Blender, Houdini, Maya, or similar 3D design tools, and experience in building or advancing research practices within design organizations.
