Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog for WAN and underlay connectivity service teams. - Lead cross-company initiatives for inter-region, data-center, and cross-cloud connectivity including capacity planning and expansion. - Define product requirements for interconnect, throughput tiers, QoS, and traffic engineering. - Collaborate with network engineering on transport, routing, and traffic-engineering design to develop customer-facing products. - Partner with product marketing and technical sales teams on documentation, go-to-market activities, and customer engagement. - Ensure high standards for throughput, latency, availability, security, and reliability in WAN services with clear SLAs.
Qualifications
- Experience designing, implementing, or operating large-scale WAN or backbone networks in senior technical roles. - Hands-on familiarity with routing protocols and technologies such as BGP, MPLS, segment routing, L2VPN/L3VPN, EVPN-VXLAN, DWDM, and QoS. - Understanding of interconnect and peering models and WAN capacity economics. - Strong expertise in one or more: backbone transport, routing and traffic engineering, ISP or service-provider networks, interconnects and peering, QoS and SLAs. - Proven ability to deliver complex technical initiatives with cross-team coordination. - Technical leadership experience is a plus. - Willingness to learn product management skills if lacking formal experience. - Experience with hyperscalers, telcos, or large enterprises preferred. - Knowledge of AI/ML workload connectivity and technical documentation is a plus.
