Responsibilities
Lead the technical direction of core systems, including subscription infrastructure, cloud and backend services, database architecture, and data pipelines. Modernize and consolidate legacy and modern systems into a pragmatic target architecture. Manage and coach a small team while maintaining hands-on coding involvement, especially for high-impact technical challenges. Foster an AI-first engineering culture by integrating AI tools into daily development workflows.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in backend systems with strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js. Extensive experience in cloud platforms, specifically AWS, including infrastructure as code practices. Demonstrated leadership in managing small engineering teams while remaining deeply technical. Experience leading complex system migrations with strategies for rollout, integrity, and rollback. Familiarity with databases, networking, queues, and pipeline systems. Practical use of AI tools in engineering tasks is highly valued.
