Responsibilities
Own and deliver high quality features within the Android app, working closely with the design team. Shape the future of the Android team. Maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features. Participate in cross-team discussions including Product, Design, and Engineering. Review pull requests and support teammates. Handle critical issues and unexpected challenges. Manage feature releases and provide nightly builds for QA.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of software engineering experience with strong familiarity in Android components. Proven experience contributing to or building Android apps. Deep expertise with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, background services, Android animations, Jetpack Navigation, and testing with JUnit. Strong communication skills, user-oriented problem solving, and product design intuition. Self-driven to enhance the app beyond specifications. Bonus: experience with open source Android projects, iOS, web, or NodeJS technologies.
