Responsibilities
Lead and develop a software engineering team through feedback, coaching, and inclusive leadership; contribute hands-on to software development, code reviews, and incident analysis; guide the team in building reliable software across edge and cloud platforms; establish best practices for coding, testing, automation, documentation, and production operations; collaborate with Product Owners to translate business needs into technical priorities; improve team processes with Scrum Master and other leads; move the team towards proactive incident prevention and continuous improvement; support transparent technical decision-making balancing short and long-term goals; identify and manage technical risks and debt; participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing team development.
Qualifications
Experienced software engineer with formal people-management or equivalent leadership experience in mentoring or project ownership; strong practical skills with Linux-based systems, edge devices, AWS/cloud systems, infrastructure as code, production operations, monitoring, incident response, Python, event-driven and distributed systems; ability to understand and connect edge device constraints with cloud solutions; excellent communication and facilitation skills; committed to inclusive leadership, candid feedback, continuous learning, and pragmatic balancing of speed, quality, and technical risk; motivated to grow team autonomy and sustainability.
