Responsibilities
Develop, validate, and improve structural analysis methods, models, and tools for composite structures; support product development projects with high-quality analyses; identify and communicate uncertainties and knowledge gaps; ensure reliable delivery and ownership of commitments despite ambiguity; collaborate across teams to build trust and shape technical direction; challenge existing approaches and explore new analysis methods and technologies.
Qualifications
Deep knowledge of composite material behaviour, laminate mechanics, and failure mechanisms; hands-on experience with structural analysis methods for composites; solid understanding of structural mechanics and nonlinear finite element modelling; strong engineering judgement and critical evaluation skills; a research mindset with curiosity for structural behaviour; fluent English communication skills; experience with scripting or software development for automation is a plus; familiarity with correlating simulations to experimental data and nonlinear FEA tools (e.g. HyperWorks) is advantageous; German language skills are a plus.
