Responsibilities
Design and operate real-time streaming and low-latency transport systems; build batch and streaming data pipelines for distributed model training; develop data models and storage for multimodal robot episodes with schema and versioning; maintain reliability, throughput, and collaboration on dataset contracts with Robotics and AI teams.
Qualifications
Proven experience building scalable distributed systems and strong software engineering fundamentals; expertise in data infrastructure and real-time transport protocols (WebRTC, RTP, gRPC, QUIC); skilled in streaming and batch data technologies such as Kafka, Redpanda, Flink, Spark, and object storage; proficiency in Python and at least one systems programming language (C++, Rust, or Go); experience with edge-cloud architectures, 5G, and real-time video pipelines; advantageous to have knowledge of robotics data tools (ROS, LeRobot, MCAP), MLOps practices including feature stores and data versioning tools (LakeFS, DVC), and hard real-time systems.
