Responsibilities
Design and evolve scalable data product architectures supporting analytics and advanced use cases. Collaborate with domain and product teams to translate business needs into data product contracts. Build and maintain reliable data ingestion and transformation pipelines with strong testing and observability. Lead delivery and align technical direction in complex cross-team initiatives through design reviews and mentoring. Work closely with platform, security, and operations teams to standardize engineering practices and CI/CD workflows. Participate in agile planning and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
5+ years in data engineering or data architecture with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure. Proficient with SQL, Databricks, Apache Spark, and performance tuning with cost awareness. Experience building production-grade data pipelines using Delta Lake patterns and orchestration with robust testing. Skilled in software engineering best practices for data systems including Python or Scala, Git, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform). Knowledge of modern data governance and security frameworks, including Unity Catalog, RBAC, ABAC, data masking, lineage, and auditing. Strong data modeling expertise for analytics and data products, including dimensional and domain-oriented designs. Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder communication, mentorship, and collaboration skills with a product mindset and a drive for operational excellence.
