Responsibilities
Own and maintain the reliability and operational readiness of a Linux on-prem infrastructure centered around Ubuntu and Proxmox virtualization. Analyze and document existing systems and processes to establish sustainable standardization and continuous compliance. Automate recurring problems following Infrastructure as Code principles using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD. Collaborate cross-functionally, mentor less experienced team members, produce clear technical documentation, and support strategic data center projects alongside daily operations, including 3rd-level support when needed.
Qualifications
Several years of professional experience in Linux system administration with a focus on Ubuntu and shell scripting. Proficient in automation and CI/CD workflows using Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD. Deep knowledge of virtualization technologies such as Proxmox VE or Qemu/KVM and Linux web/database stacks including Nginx, Apache, PostgreSQL, and Redis. Experience with Ceph clusters, ZFS, backup strategies (e.g., Proxmox Backup Server, Veeam), network firewalls like pfSense/OPNsense, and DNS security protocols. Strong project management skills, process discipline, fluent English communication abilities, and a teamwork-oriented mindset. Knowledge of container technologies, identity management systems, and public cloud administration is a plus.
