Responsibilities

Define, manage, and maintain spacecraft avionics and electrical system requirements; coordinate interfaces between spacecraft equipment and systems; support avionics architecture development; perform equipment trade studies; develop interface control documents and verification concepts; coordinate with suppliers on technical topics; support proposal activities including requirements analysis, supplier input, and risk assessments; assist with subsystem and spacecraft-level integration, verification, and troubleshooting; contribute to MBSE models and improve systems engineering processes.

Qualifications

Several years of experience in spacecraft avionics, electrical systems, or comparable safety-critical engineering environments; proficiency in requirements engineering, interface definition, and technical trade studies; broad understanding of spacecraft avionics and electrical equipment; ability to collaborate with electronics, software, control, and systems engineering teams; experience managing supplier relationships and evaluating technical proposals; familiarity with verification planning, integration testing, and ECSS standards; strong analytical and communication skills; motivated to develop systems for space logistics and orbital servicing. Nice to have: experience with spacecraft power systems, data handling, sensors, communication equipment, MBSE tools, SiL/HiL testing, autonomous spacecraft, RPOD, or fluidic systems.
