Responsibilities
Design and build large-scale rendering systems for modern web applications; develop browser-based rendering infrastructure that reliably executes complex JavaScript applications; research modern frontend frameworks rendering methods; improve rendering quality, completeness, and performance for diverse sites; optimize rendering cost, latency, resource use, and throughput at internet scale; translate rendering research into reliable production systems.
Qualifications
5+ years experience in software engineering working on backend or infrastructure systems; expertise in browser rendering including Chromium pipeline (DOM, Layout, Paint, Compositing), JavaScript execution lifecycle, headless browser execution, and browser instrumentation; familiarity with Chrome DevTools Protocol and frameworks like Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium; strong knowledge of modern web applications including React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, SSR, CSR, SPA, and PWA; experience with resource loading and modern JavaScript bundles; additional experience with high-throughput content pipelines, distributed systems design, and performance optimization is advantageous. Coding interviews required.
