Responsibilities
Own and evolve Kubernetes platform across multiple clusters, including Helm chart management and GitOps workflows; drive technical design for platform initiatives with problem scoping, solution proposals, and implementation; enhance platform security posture with workload identity, runtime security, image scanning, and secrets management; develop custom Kubernetes operators and tooling in Go and Python; maintain and improve observability stack with dashboards and alerts; ensure reliability and speed of GitLab CI/CD pipelines powering frequent production deployments; operate and evolve AWS infrastructure with a focus on cost efficiency; manage incident response end-to-end including alerts and postmortems; participate in on-call rotation; mentor engineers and elevate team standards; collaborate closely with product teams as the infrastructure partner.
Qualifications
5+ years professional engineering experience, including 3+ years in infrastructure, platform, or site reliability engineering; deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster operations and troubleshooting; expertise in Helm chart authoring; GitOps experience with tools like Argo CD; working knowledge of AWS services including EKS, IAM, VPC, RDS, S3; experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent); proficiency in Go and Python; proven ability to manage production incidents end-to-end; strong English communication skills to explain technical decisions to diverse stakeholders. Nice to have: Kubernetes operator development, progressive delivery tooling, policy-as-code experience, runtime security tooling, observability tool familiarity, CI/CD pipeline experience, mentoring or technical hiring experience; German language skills are a plus but not required.
