Responsibilities

Lead the technical direction and development of multi-object tracking and perception capabilities in autonomous robotic systems. Design and optimize robust tracking pipelines for dynamic, GPS-denied environments. Define architectures for state estimation and multi-sensor fusion. Develop probabilistic estimation and optimization algorithms. Manage sensor calibration pipelines for complex sensor setups. Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance system performance. Collaborate with autonomy, controls, and middleware teams for seamless integration. Mentor engineers through reviews and technical discussions. Deploy and validate algorithms in simulation and on embedded robotic hardware. Lead debugging and validation during field tests and improve system robustness continuously.

Qualifications

Extensive software development skills in C++ and Python with experience in ROS and ROS2. Strong background in robotics perception, computer vision, state estimation, and production-grade robotics software deployment. Solid mathematical foundation in estimation, optimization, and probabilistic methods. Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and work across multidisciplinary teams. Experience debugging and deploying software on real robotic platforms. Fluency in English is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include expertise in multi-object tracking, sensor fusion techniques, Visual SLAM, Kalman filtering, embedded GPU platforms (e.g., Nvidia Jetson), CUDA, TensorRT, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. A PhD in a relevant field and experience with autonomous or defense systems is an advantage. Candidates must be from a NATO member country or close ally.
