Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain production-grade C++ perception components for camera-based detection, object tracking, target localization, and trajectory estimation on autonomous drones. Develop multi-object tracking algorithms, data association, filtering, and sensor fusion techniques combining vision with vehicle state and navigation data. Integrate neural network models using ONNX, TensorRT, CUDA, and optimize for platforms like NVIDIA Jetson. Analyze flight data to diagnose and reproduce perception failures. Establish robust software interfaces and standards, conduct code reviews, collaborate closely with machine learning, autonomy, simulation, and flight test teams.
Qualifications
Strong C++ programming skills with experience in performance-sensitive production software development. Proven background shipping perception, localization, or tracking software on robotic systems. Deep understanding of linear algebra, rigid-body transformations, projective geometry, probabilistic estimation (e.g., Kalman filtering), uncertainty modeling, and sensor fusion. Experience integrating learned models into perception pipelines and reasoning about system-level trade-offs. Familiarity with ROS 2, PX4, MAVLink, neural network frameworks, and NVIDIA hardware/software acceleration. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to mentor engineers and engage cross-functionally. Prior experience with UAV aerial perception, visual SLAM, simulation, or real-time embedded systems is advantageous.
