Responsibilities
Support and improve the data collection pipeline focusing on upload, cloud ingestion, and access; design and implement backend services and APIs for managing various system components; ensure robust data shipping and reliability; handle cloud architecture and deployment including storage, computing, networking, IAM, and cost management; integrate partner and vendor software; establish monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions; enforce security and compliance best practices; define system architecture and maintainability standards; mentor junior developers; collaborate in an agile environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 3+ years in professional software development, demonstrating ownership of complex systems; leadership in technical initiatives and architecture direction; proficiency in backend technologies including Node.js, Python, or Go; experience building REST and/or gRPC APIs; strong database knowledge (SQL/NoSQL); hands-on expertise with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools; knowledge of security practices and compliance; excellent communication and mentoring skills; prior experience with distributed systems and data pipelines is highly preferred.
