Responsibilities
Design and implement a robust REST API and WebRTC communication server on embedded Linux hardware. Maintain a well-defined API layer for browser-based clients. Integrate backend server with communication middleware such as ROS2. Own server architecture including design, deployment, debugging, documentation, and release. Ensure API reliability, performance, and security within embedded Linux constraints. Collaborate with frontend and robotics software teams on interface contracts and integration. Develop rapid proof-of-concept and production-grade server components.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years professional experience in backend development. Proficient in Python and working knowledge of C++ in systems or robotics context. Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and real-time communication protocols like WebRTC. Familiarity with communication middleware such as ROS2 and concepts like pub/sub, services, actions. Experience deploying and operating backend services on embedded Linux systems. Strong understanding of API design, versioning, documentation, and debugging skills. Beneficial: experience with containerization on embedded targets, frontend technologies, secure communication protocols, and robotics system architecture.
