Responsibilities
Lead mechanical scope definition and tender preparation for data center fit-out projects; review intake forms and scoping materials; ensure multi-stakeholder technical sign-off; conduct capacity checks of existing M&E infrastructure; contribute to cost and schedule planning for design activities; manage external vendor performance against quality, accuracy, and timelines; coordinate site surveys across EMEA; support design reviews ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations; collaborate with teams to capture required infrastructure and system upgrades; participate in lessons learned processes; manage scope changes and risks associated with design; support development and adoption of design management best practices; drive innovation with a focus on sustainability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; demonstrated experience in mechanical design for mission-critical data centers or similar industries; experience in multidisciplinary design teams preferably in leadership roles; familiarity with design consultant/client/contractor roles; experience in whitespace fit-outs and liquid cooling design; international experience preferred; proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM; knowledge of CFD modeling advantageous; strong strategic and structured approach; excellent English communication skills; German language skills are a plus; passion for innovation, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement in multicultural settings.
