Responsibilities

Enable cross-company teams to leverage data via internal tools and platforms; govern and manage AWS services such as Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio to promote independent team operation; ensure availability, scalability, and security of AWS data infrastructure; build and optimize event-driven data ingestion pipelines using Amazon Kinesis, Data Firehose, and AWS Lambda; contribute to operational excellence and help the team grow through knowledge sharing and mentoring.

Qualifications

Proven expertise in Python programming, with additional experience in JavaScript/TypeScript or JVM languages advantageous; experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications on AWS, preferably using Infrastructure as Code tools like CDK or Terraform; strong foundation in DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, and alerting; familiarity with data formats such as Apache Iceberg, Parquet, and Protocol Buffers; applied experience with AI in data contexts; preferred knowledge includes data governance, GDPR compliance, SQL databases, data pipeline orchestration with Apache Airflow, and API design skills.
