Responsibilities
Develop and improve cloud-based data platforms for analytics; build end-to-end data pipelines from ingestion to clean, structured data; implement data quality monitoring; architect, code, and deploy data infrastructure; collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams; stay current with data cloud architecture advancements and share knowledge.
Qualifications
University degree in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences, or related field; several years of experience in data engineering with strong skills in building scalable and maintainable data platforms; hands-on experience with AWS or GCP and data-native services; familiarity with data warehousing and containerization tools; advanced knowledge of cloud networking and security; expertise with Infrastructure as Code; strong software engineering fundamentals including version control, CI/CD, testing, deployment, and monitoring; excellent SQL and Python skills (including Airflow and PySpark); knowledge of data streaming technologies; fluent English communication skills; German language skills are a plus; interest in finance and fintech industry.
