Responsibilities
Install, configure, maintain, and optimize SAP landscapes across development, test, and production environments; perform SAP installations, upgrades, kernel updates, support package implementations, and lifecycle maintenance; administer SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and related platform services; plan and execute SAP system copies, refreshes, migrations, and platform upgrades; operate Linux-based SAP environments ensuring stability, performance, security, and availability; automate infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks using Ansible or SaltStack; manage certificates, secure communications, and PKI integrations; support backup, disaster recovery, and high availability efforts; investigate and resolve complex SAP platform and infrastructure issues; collaborate with various teams to improve platform reliability and automation; create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience in SAP Basis or SAP platform engineering with strong hands-on experience in SAP NetWeaver and SAP HANA administration; proficient in Linux administration (preferably SUSE Linux Enterprise Server); experience with SAP Host Agent, SWPM, and SUM; automation expertise using Ansible or SaltStack; scripting skills in Bash or Python; sound understanding of SAP landscape administration, transport management, and lifecycle operations; solid knowledge of Linux, networking, storage and infrastructure security; strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; fluent written and spoken English; ability to work independently in a remote, international engineering environment.
