Responsibilities
Ensure successful substantive and financial implementation of the project through effective planning, activity design, forecasting, and monitoring. Co-design and support activities implemented by partners. Lead consortium management ensuring on-track delivery and fostering cooperation among partner workstreams. Organize joint planning, exchanges, and professional communication with partners, consortium members, participants, donors, and stakeholders. Coordinate reporting within the consortium and to donors. Provide expertise on mediation support, peacebuilding, and community safety to support local mediation initiatives. Monitor and analyze conflict dynamics to ensure conflict sensitivity and adaptation. Coordinate with internal teams including MEL, finance, and advisors. Mentor and advise junior staff. Undertake frequent travel including to high-risk areas.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field. Minimum 5 years relevant project management experience, preferably with work related to Yemen or the wider region. Thematic expertise in mediation support, peacebuilding, and community safety. Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic. Strong organizational, intercultural, and interpersonal communication skills including experience with remote collaboration. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams. Ability to work well under pressure and manage complex situations. Willingness to travel frequently to the region.
