Responsibilities
Design and enforce layered data architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold). Lead global data model harmonization including conformed dimensions and SCD2 implementations. Drive migration from Teradata to Google BigQuery with validation and cutover strategies. Design end-to-end data pipelines using Airflow. Establish data governance frameworks, including lineage, metadata management, role-based access control, and auditability. Implement automated data quality checks and observability mechanisms. Define continuous integration and deployment processes with schema evolution strategies. Optimize data platform performance and cost through partitioning, clustering, and aggregation. Ensure compliance with financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Proven experience designing cloud data warehouse platforms, preferably with Google BigQuery. Strong understanding of financial accounting domains such as revenue recognition, general ledger, VAT, and month-end close processes. Hands-on experience migrating from legacy on-premises data warehouses like Teradata to cloud environments. Experience building and implementing data governance frameworks. Proficient in Apache Airflow, SQL, Git workflows, CI/CD pipeline tools, and data modeling. Upper-Intermediate or higher proficiency in English to work in an international project environment. Ability to work remotely across CET timezone. Part-time availability for 7-8 months engagement on a B2B contract basis.
