Responsibilities

Own the programme baseline including schedule, cost, scope, work-package structure, and critical path across all project phases. Manage the programme control cycle: planning, milestones, earned-value tracking, risk and opportunity management, change control, and progress reporting. Serve as the primary interface to consortium partners, coordinate dependencies and deliverables, manage customer and authority relationships, lead internal programme execution across domains, handle subcontractor and supplier management, prepare and defend programme reviews, flag strategic dependencies and resource conflicts, ensure compliance with ECSS requirements, and support bid and proposal activities.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience as a programme or project manager in spacecraft or spacecraft subsystems with demonstrated end-to-end delivery ownership. Proven track record managing cost, schedule, and scope on complex space programmes involving multiple stakeholders. Hands-on experience with ECSS project management and review frameworks (SRR/PDR/CDR). Experience coordinating across consortia and partners, ideally with institutional funding contexts. Strong skills in planning, risk management, reporting tools, and methods. Technical judgment across space systems. Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills. Accountable, structured, calm under pressure, with an agile mindset. Additional advantages include experience with propulsion or fluidic systems, defence or dual-use environments, national security clearance eligibility, and German language proficiency.
