Responsibilities
Design and document global on-premise network architectures including core, distribution, access, WLAN, and data center fabrics. Establish and maintain global network standards such as IP addressing, routing policies, QoS, security baselines, zoning, and segmentation. Engineer routing and switching for WAN and data centers with redundancy and failover. Manage Aruba campus and branch switching and WLAN including coverage and capacity planning. Lead FortiGate firewall policy architecture and VPN solutions including high availability and posture checks. Implement 802.1X NAC with RADIUS and Active Directory integration. Operate DMZ patterns and ensure compliance with TISAX and ISMS requirements. Design and maintain NVIDIA InfiniBand fabrics for AI/HPC workloads. Deliver high availability and disaster recovery strategies. Implement monitoring, alerting, and telemetry with tools like Zabbix and centralized logging. Use automation tools (Ansible, Python, Git) for configuration management. Manage risk assessments, controls auditing, and vendor relationships. Mentor regional IT staff and act as escalation for incidents and major changes.
Qualifications
At least 7 years of experience in enterprise on-premise networking within multi-site, multi-region environments. Deep hands-on expertise with FortiGate firewalls, Aruba switching and WLAN, Dell data center switching, and NVIDIA InfiniBand fundamentals. Strong knowledge of advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), segmentation, VLAN/VRF, DMZ design, and high availability network patterns. Proven delivery of secure remote access, NAC implementation, and large scale logging and monitoring. Experience mapping network controls to ISMS and TISAX requirements. Excellent documentation capabilities including high and low-level designs and clear communication skills with stakeholders. Beneficial certifications include Fortinet NSE (4/5/7+), Aruba certifications, CCNP/CCIE, and Dell or NVIDIA networking certifications. Familiarity with automation, monitoring tuning, and ITSM/change management systems is advantageous.
