Responsibilities
Develop and refine numerical spin simulations to model MRI machine behavior; design, implement, and optimize custom MRI pulse sequences tailored for low-field systems; integrate MRI physics domain knowledge into deep learning pipelines to improve control loops, parameter mapping, and image reconstruction; analyze prototype hardware k-space data and build robust image reconstruction algorithms.
Qualifications
Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Physics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, or related quantitative disciplines; 5+ years experience in computational mathematics and signal processing applied to MRI; proficient in designing pulse sequences and reconstructing raw MRI k-space data; strong Python skills with scientific computing libraries such as PyTorch, NumPy, and SciPy; first-principles thinker with proactive problem-solving orientation and fluent English communication. Preferred: experience with low-field MRI (<0.1T), knowledge of clinical MRI workflows, and solid foundation in software engineering practices.
