Responsibilities
Develop prototypes, test protocols, and concept designs for Machine Handling Systems (MHS); create CAD designs and lead design reviews; collaborate with Automation and AI teams to finalize designs; prototype and validate machine solutions; manage prototype testing aligning with CAD designs; support product development with internal teams and external suppliers; generate technical reports to assist in make-or-buy decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Machine Construction, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred but not mandatory); over 5 years of experience in machine design and automation including mechanical and machine assembly; over 3 years of experience in CAD design, preferably with Inventor; proven track record of mechanical design of automated systems with robotic cells and electro-mechanical assemblies; experience managing complex design projects and working with multiple stakeholders; adaptable to fast-evolving environments; project management skills for machine design, deployment, and integration; experience in technical specification creation (RFQ, RFP, RFI) is a plus.
