Responsibilities
Take full ownership of characterizing and developing lithium niobate for optimal photonic system performance. Identify and control material defects, implement robust manufacturing solutions, and act as the material stack expert. Coordinate measurement schedules with external partners and integrate findings into production. Tackle complex problems creatively and innovate with limited measurement resources.
Qualifications
PhD in Material Science or Material Physics, or a Master’s degree with extensive experience in material-related measurement techniques. Proven experience with crystalline oxide materials, ideally lithium niobate. Proficient in characterization tools like SEM, XPS, EDS, FIB, TEM, AFM and deposition methods including ALD, PECVD, and PVD. Skilled in Python for data analysis and solid understanding of defect theory in ionic crystals.
