Responsibilities
Own the enterprise Disaster Recovery strategy, framework, and governance. Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and define Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) with business stakeholders. Plan and execute Disaster Recovery exercises including failover and failback testing, with post-test reports and remediation tracking. Ensure backup, replication, and recovery solutions meet regulatory requirements such as DORA, ISO 22301, and ISO 27001. Maintain Disaster Recovery documentation, recovery runbooks, and dependency maps. Manage third-party vendors supporting backup, replication, and disaster recovery services. Define and report Disaster Recovery KPIs to senior management and support crisis management during business disruptions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Continuity Management, or equivalent experience. Minimum 7 years experience in IT infrastructure or business continuity, with 3-4 years focused on enterprise Disaster Recovery. Hands-on experience defining and validating RTOs and RPOs, and translating them into technical recovery requirements. Proven track record planning and executing Disaster Recovery exercises for critical systems, with structured post-test reporting. Strong technical knowledge of backup and recovery technologies in both on-premises and cloud environments (e.g., Veeam, Zerto, AWS/Azure DR). Working knowledge of DORA, ISO 22301, and ISO 27001 standards, including audit preparation experience. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and fluent English communication; German language skills are a plus.
