Responsibilities
Define and evolve the architecture and roadmap of the Google Cloud data platform ensuring alignment with business goals. Design and deliver high-performance data pipelines and products using cloud-native tools. Establish data quality, governance, testing, monitoring, and operational excellence practices. Mentor engineering teams through coaching, code reviews, and technical guidance. Lead resolution of complex technical challenges and production incidents. Drive modern engineering practices adoption including AI-assisted development with clear quality and security standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience in designing and operating scalable data platforms and distributed systems on Google Cloud. Strong expertise in data architecture, modeling, and warehouse or lakehouse solutions. Hands-on experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Dataflow. Skilled in data orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow and dbt. Proficient in Python and SQL. Excellent communication skills with ability to influence technical direction and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Leadership and mentoring experience with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
