Responsibilities
Lead and grow the lab operations team including safety officer and data manager; manage lab and pilot-plant infrastructure end to end including procurement, commissioning, calibration, preventive maintenance, and documentation; ensure occupational safety compliance with DGUV and GefStoffV standards; oversee lab data management and adoption of data discipline; manage reactor safety and inspection approval processes; act as operational interface to R&D teams, infrastructure partners, and vendors; troubleshoot facility and logistics issues; allocate resources across sites consistent with R&D priorities.
Qualifications
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Process Engineering or related technical field (M.Sc. preferred, PhD welcome but not required); minimum 3 years practical lab or pilot-plant operations experience; prior leadership or coordination experience in lab operations; strong knowledge of lab and pilot-plant infrastructure, maintenance, procurement, and safety regulations (DGUV, GefStoffV); excellent English communication skills, German language skills are a plus; hands-on mindset with structured and efficient work approach; able to collaborate across disciplines in a fast-paced startup environment.
