Responsibilities

Support characterization and validation of a novel optical MEMS sensor using established laboratory test setups; conduct measurements and document experimental procedures and results; analyze and discuss measurement data; perform robustness testing of MEMS devices; improve characterization methods and laboratory workflows; contribute to optical characterization tasks including operating optical measurement setups, aligning optical paths, and performing spectroscopic measurements; collaborate with interdisciplinary development team.

Qualifications

Enrolled student in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Microsystems Engineering, Physics, Optics, Photonics or related field; confident use of MS Office; experience with electrical measurements and data analysis preferred; hands-on experience with optical laboratory setups (e.g., optical alignment, spectroscopic measurements) is a strong plus; basic programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW beneficial; good knowledge of MS Excel; fluent English; German language skills are advantageous; reliable, proactive, collaborative, and able to work independently in a laboratory environment.
