Responsibilities
Design and conduct hydrometallurgical leaching and separation experiments focusing on kinetics and diffusion. Analyze data using kinetic modeling and statistical tools to optimize processes. Contribute to scaling studies linking lab results to pilot scale. Evaluate mass transfer, reaction mechanisms, and process control. Document findings and assist in technical reporting and presentations. Utilize simulation software for process and thermodynamic modeling.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or related field. Strong understanding of reaction kinetics, diffusion, and hydrometallurgical processes. Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Python, OriginLab, or MATLAB). Experience with statistical software like Minitab for experimental design and process optimization. Hands-on laboratory experience desirable. Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams. Fluent English is required. Experience with chemical process modeling (HSC Chemistry, ASPEN) is a plus.
