Responsibilities

Define and lead the global tax strategy aligned with business objectives and international expansion. Advise executive leadership on tax risks and opportunities. Manage compliance with German and international tax regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding taxes. Design and optimize tax structures for growth and operational efficiency. Lead transfer pricing strategy and governance based on OECD standards. Monitor global tax developments and implement necessary responses. Establish tax governance frameworks and own relationships with tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors. Support cross-functional initiatives including M&A tax structuring and due diligence. Drive tax process digitalization and integration within ERP and finance systems.

Qualifications

University degree in Law, Business, Economics, Finance, or Tax. Recognized tax qualification such as German Tax Advisor or Chartered Accountant preferred. Over 10 years of progressive international tax experience in Big Four or in-house roles within technology-driven companies. Proven expertise in international taxation, transfer pricing, VAT, withholding taxes, and recent global tax developments including OECD Pillar Two. Experience in managing cross-border tax structures, M&A tax workstreams, and tax audits across jurisdictions. Strong leadership abilities, team development skills, and strategic business partnership experience. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Business fluent in English; German language skills are advantageous but not required.
