Responsibilities
Take ownership of core backend applications, define scalable architecture, lead technical challenges, collaborate with product leads on roadmaps balancing business and technical objectives, challenge requirements for technical sustainability and commercial value, mentor and coach backend engineers, lead hiring and onboarding, serve as primary technical contact for backend architecture and integration, research and propose modern technologies especially in message queuing, data normalization, and observability.
Qualifications
Hands-on and recent experience with Laravel; experience developing synchronous APIs; experience with message queue systems such as SQS or RabbitMQ; proficiency with AWS, Terraform, MySQL, Redis; ownership of end-to-end development including automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response; self-motivated with ability to perform complex tasks independently; strong team leadership and mentoring skills; experience guiding technical migrations and standardizing technologies.
