Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a mixed backend and frontend engineering team supporting career growth and performance management; own delivery planning, prioritization, quality, and timeliness; set and maintain high engineering standards including code reviews and architectural decisions; collaborate with product management and leadership to align roadmap priorities with business value; facilitate agile practices and ensure smooth delivery; champion AI integration to improve engineering productivity.
Qualifications
7+ years in software development with minimum 3 years in engineering leadership managing product-focused teams; strong backend expertise in Java and networking concepts; knowledge of frontend technologies (TypeScript, Angular); familiarity with integration protocols and messaging systems such as HTTP/REST, Kafka, AMQP; demonstrated experience with AI-augmented engineering practices; excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; experience in people management including performance and career progression; strong project management skills and Agile/Scrum experience; fluent in English; German or Dutch language skills are advantageous.
