Responsibilities

Design and implement embedded software for battery and mobility products; develop new features and improve existing firmware; translate product requirements into technical solutions; participate in architecture decisions and roadmap planning; take ownership of existing firmware stack; maintain and evolve software platform during pilot and PoC deployments; support releases, version management, and maintainability; troubleshoot and debug hardware/software issues; perform root-cause analysis; improve monitoring, diagnostics, and system reliability; collaborate closely with UX/UI team; contribute to feature prioritization and roadmap discussions.

Qualifications

Strong experience in embedded software and firmware development using C/C++; hands-on experience with Zephyr RTOS and/or Embedded Linux; expertise in designing, developing, testing, and debugging embedded systems; solid understanding of communication protocols including CAN, CANopen, Bluetooth Low Energy, and NFC; experience in hardware-software integration and troubleshooting; knowledge of low-voltage electronics and embedded hardware fundamentals; strong debugging and problem-solving skills; ability to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions; professional proficiency in English or German (English is the working language); nice to have experience with Rust, Python, additional communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, USB), knowledge of embedded security concepts, and experience with e-mobility or battery systems.
