Responsibilities
Develop and own integrations to and from CRMs, ERPs, task management tools, and hyperscaler services. Engage with tech and product teams on architecture, database design, querying, and security. Enhance and create backend services for client applications and analytics platforms. Design and abstract APIs of major SaaS tools into the company's architectures. Manage and mentor backend and forward deployed engineers, setting technical direction and ensuring scalable, maintainable backend systems.
Qualifications
Proven experience leading backend teams including mentoring and code review culture. Strong Golang skills and experience designing and operating scalable backend systems such as integration platforms, data interfaces, query-heavy services, and orchestration layers. Solid software design skills with good judgment on abstraction and efficiency. Comfortable making architectural decisions regarding REST API design, authentication, network protocols, data modeling, and control flow for compute-heavy backend operations. Capable of balancing individual contributor tasks, leadership responsibilities, and stakeholder communication. Experience collaborating with forward deployed engineers or customers to translate field requirements into platform decisions. German proficiency is a plus but not required; primary working language is English.
