Responsibilities

Lead regional property maintenance team delivering social and affordable housing maintenance services. Manage contract administration for maintenance, landscaping, building compliance contracts. Oversee day-to-day activities of Area Property Maintenance unit. Control budget and allocation of human, physical, financial resources. Provide strategic and operational advice on maintenance projects. Lead project management and development including business cases and communication strategies. Coordinate contractors and internal trade teams ensuring compliance and effective scheduling. Support State Manager in strategy, work standards, resource allocation, and performance target achievement.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience managing human, financial, and physical resources in a dynamic environment with competing priorities. Strong conceptual and analytical skills to understand organizational, social, political contexts affecting housing portfolios. Highly developed communication, negotiation, conflict resolution skills with ability to engage diverse stakeholders including contractors, unions, tenants, government entities. Relevant trade or industry knowledge preferred. Familiarity with maintenance information systems and reporting. Experience in maintenance service delivery and contractor management. Current Driver's License. Essential: current Tasmania Working with Vulnerable People registration (child-related activity).
