Responsibilities
- Execute general ledger postings independently for several international entities. - Post accruals, provisions, intercompany transactions, and other entries in compliance with regulations. - Serve as main contact for internal and external inquiries regarding postings, reconciliations, and balance sheet items. - Analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts to identify discrepancies and support corrective measures. - Assist in continuous improvement of processes, policies, and internal controls related to general ledger. - Contribute to optimization and automation of general ledger processes and ERP/reporting systems development. - Support preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS. - Collaborate with internal teams (Accounts Receivable/Payable, Controlling, Group Accounting, Tax, Treasury) and external auditors. - Ensure all activities comply with legal requirements, corporate policies, and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field, ideally focused on Finance, Accounting or Controlling. - Several years of professional experience in general ledger accounting within an international setting. - Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statement preparation, and relevant accounting and tax regulations. - Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools, preferably SAP Business By Design, Vena, or comparable. - Strong analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style with numerical proficiency. - Excellent written and spoken English skills; additional languages such as German, Dutch, or French are advantageous. - Team player who takes initiative, known for accuracy and responsibility.
